Tennis bracelets

Tenniscore is the latest trend taking over social media right now, thanks to Zendaya and the release of her new tennis-inspired theme movie Challengers.

Zendaya doesn’t only serve Tenniscore on the big screen, sherocked the aesthetic throughout the press tour, which featured a white and green colour palette and even some tennis-ball spiked heels. In case you’re wondering, Tenniscore consists of items of clothing synonymous with playing a tennis match, such as pleated white mini skirts, sweater vests and of course – iconic tennis bracelets.

The tennis fever has swept through, with Pandora UK serving up a 35% surge in demand for Tennis Bracelets since the release of the Challengers movie in cinemas. TikTok users also can’t get enough of the trend, with one video outlining how to get the tennis core aesthetic racking up over 16,000 likes.

The term ‘tennis bracelet’ originates from an incident involving professional tennis player Chris Everett in the 1987 U.S open, where a match she was playing was paused so she could  retrieve her fallen diamond bracelet.

This led to widespread media attention and the bracelet style being named “tennis bracelet,” characterised by a single row of closely set gemstones. The bracelets then became popular and have since been associated with elegance and style, often worn both on and off the tennis court.

Sarah Chenery, marketing director, at Pandora UK said:

“The tennis bracelet is such a rich piece of jewellery history but what is so special about the tennis bracelet is there are so many variations and different ways to self-express. You can go classic with a simple string of sparkling stones or add a little extra detail such as a heart design.”

If you want to tap into the tennis aesthetic trend, then Pandora UK has got the perfect selection of tennis bracelets, available to shop from just £60.
