The Mutton at Hazeley Heath, a quintessentially British countryside pub tucked away in the heart of North Hampshire, has been named Regional Winner for ‘Best Destination Pub’ in the 2025 Muddy Stilettos Awards, Hampshire and IOW – for the second consecutive year.
Following up on its 2024 win, this back-to-back victory is a glowing endorsement of The Mutton’s unwavering passion for hospitality, its flavour-packed, ever-evolving menus, and its irresistible countryside charm.
Housed in a lovingly restored 19th-century pub and former post office, The Mutton has become a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its dedication to premium British produce and its creative use of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

The Muddy Stilettos Awards, renowned for championing the very best independent businesses across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, are entirely customer-voted, making this win a true reflection of the public’s love for The Mutton.
Co-owner Carole Taylor shared her delight: “To be named Regional Winner two years in a row is just fantastic, we’re absolutely over the moon! This award is really a tribute to our amazing team, who bring energy, passion, and creativity to everything they do.”
Carole added, “We’re beyond grateful for the continued support of our incredible community. Every single vote matters, and we’re so touched that so many people took the time to support us.”
