Sunday Brunch, reimagined, at Bacchanalia

The slow Sunday is a classic tradition across the world – a leisurely time for friends and family to come together.

Although the capital city may be well stocked with conventional Sunday brunches and roasts, Bacchanalia is on hand to mix things up, offering a luxurious, Mediterranean, family-style Roman brunch.

Forget the classic roast, launching on Bank Holiday weekend (26th May), Mayfair’s iconic Greco-Roman restaurant will be serving a lavish spread of Roman-style brunch for all the family,  alongside live acoustic music and free flowing, unlimited Greek and Italian wine.

Culinary Director, Athinagoras Kostakos – one of Greece’s most heralded chefs – has selected some of his best dishes for the occasion. For just £58, start with a selection of dips, home-made breads, seasonal crudo & hot meze, served in abundant ‘family’ style. Think refreshing tzatziki and fava bean dips, alongside meze dishes like Florina peppers stuffed with feta & dolmades with a dill yoghurt to start. Savour a main dish of Bacchanalia classics such as the signature Rigatoni ragu and rump of Spring lamb with smoked aubergine, or a salt-crusted sea bass with citrus dressing (for two to share). And of course, it wouldn’t be a true taste of Bacchanalia without rounding off the meal with the restaurant’s famed tiramisu.

Up the ante with free-flowing wine from just £29 per person, including Bacchanalia’s own Assyrtiko, Monemvasia (Greece 2021) or opt for a premium unlimited wine experience at £59 per person, of Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet (Burgundy 2022) or Bacchanalia’s Brunello di Montalcino (Tuscany 2017).

If the sun is shining, the Sunday Roman Brunch menu is also available on the restaurant’s Berkeley Square terrace, making for the ultimate people-watching experience.
